We have worked with McCabe Construction on two large projects in recent years. Both projects started and finished on time, and we have been very pleased with the results. Communication has been excellent throughout, and the quality of the work has been very high, with great attention to detail. Any unexpected issues were handled with a pragmatic, can-do approach.
We can highly recommend McCabe Construction.
Roger, Oxford
McCabe Construction took on an exceptionally challenging project for our family: demolishing our semi-detached house without damaging the adjoining property, then building a timber-framed Passivhaus on a very constrained urban site.
Phil and his team rose impressively to the considerable technical demands, achieving a high standard of workmanship and making thoughtful adjustments that improved the building’s performance.
Throughout the project, Phil communicated clearly, gave sensible and practical advice, and was always mindful of our limited budget. Most importantly, we found him completely honest and trustworthy; we never had any doubt that his advice was given with our best interests in mind. He maintained very good relations with the local community.
We are delighted with the finished house and would have no hesitation in recommending McCabe Construction, particularly to anyone undertaking a complex or demanding building project.

Phil and the team did a fantastic job fully refurbishing and adding a 2 storey extension to the terraced house we bought to renovate. All work was carried out to a very high standard and done with great care. The 6 month project was well managed with good communication. We would recommend Phil and the team and will be in touch for the next project.
McCabe Construction were recommended to us by our architect, and we are really pleased with our new loft extension. Phil was very approachable, positive and good to work with. His team were friendly, great to have around and always had a can-do attitude. They were also very understanding of any variations we had along the way. The standard of construction was excellent. We would happily recommend McCabe Construction and would approach them again for any future projects.
